Public Relations: Internship
In Spring 2016, I served as a Marketing and Outreach Intern for Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, WA. I attended promotional events, helped to create promotional material (such as MailChimp emails and posters), as well as helped to plan a ticket-giveaway campaign for Sasquatch.
Sasquatch! 2016I helped to create a giveaway campaign where another intern and I worked to collect membership contact info in exchange for the chance to win two tickets to Sasquatch! 2016 in a raffle.

Public Relations: Service Learning
In Winter 2016, I served as a service learning intern for Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY) in Bellingham, WA. I worked closely with a team of two to help build a campaign that would allow BAAY to meet its goals. I conducted in-depth research via online sources and in-person surveys, and I helped to create tactics and strategies that were easy-to-achieve, cost-effective, and would help BAAY reach all of its goals.
Print PostersPrint posters I designed for an eventI helped plan to be placed around the Bellingham area.

Public Relations: Service Learning
In Winter 2015, I served as a public relations representative for Western Washington University's Associated Students club LEAD. Two other students as well as myself worked to create a variety of materials for the club.
Media Kit |
Print PSA |
The media kit includes information on the club, statistics, FAQ, club contact information and a feature piece pitch. This could accompany a press release or be included on the club's website.

30-second radio PSA
I created a 30-second radio PSA that could be aired on Western Washington University's radio station KUGS.
Script:
There are one hundred and ten weeds on Whatcom County’s noxious weed list. Twenty percent of Washington’s plants are non-native species. [Pause] It’s up to us to recognize and remove them. Every quarter, an Associated Students club of Western Washington University called the Learning, Environment, Action and Discovery club throws work parties to get community members just like you involved. Go to W-W-W dot W-W-U dot E-D-U forward slash LEAD to get involved today. Be the change. Take the lead.

30-second video PSA
As for another PSA, I wrote a script and filmed a 30-second video PSA for LEAD. I edited the video on Final Cut Pro.
Script:
There are a hundred and ten weeds on Whatcom County’s noxious weed list. Twenty percent of Washington’s plants are non-native species. I’m Stephanie, and I’m here to tell you that you can help preserve native plant species. Every quarter, Learning, Environment, Action and Discovery — an Associated Students club at Western — hosts work parties to get community members just like you involved. Go to W-W-U dot E-D-U forward slash LEAD to find the date of LEAD’s next work party. Be the change. Take the lead.
